The living things that can move such as animals, human beings, etc. But the non-living things cannot move like tables, chairs, etc.
Living things and Non-living things
We normally see lots of things all around us. Really, these are not of the same kind. They can be divided into two main groups; man-made and natural things.
Those things which are made by man are called man-made things such as a house, vehicle, book, pencil, pen, table, chair, clothes, T.V., computer, etc.
Those things which are in nature are called natural things like planets, stars, moon, sun, trees, etc.
All-natural things are different from each other. few of them have life. They are living things for example; humans, animals, birds are living things. Some of them do not have life. They are non-living things like stone, rivers, hills, oceans, etc. All man-made things are non-livings.
Characteristics of These :
- Living things can move:— In fact, all living things can walk in their ways like human beings, Animals, tigers, lions, etc. They can move from one place to another.
plants cannot move from one place to another but show moments of other kinds. Sunflower can change its direction towards the sun. They are also under in living things. But non-living things such as rock, stone, mountains, etc., cannot move from one place to another.
- Every Living thing must need food:— Living things cannot survive without food and water on the earth. A kid needs milk to drink but a doll which is a non-living thing does not need food. Animals and plants both are necessary for food. All Animals and human beings are directly or indirectly dependent on the plan for food. Some plant can prepare their own food.
- All Living things grow:— All They grow in size and age.
- All Living things feel: Almost all livings things have a special sense of feeling. Humans have five sense organs like nose, tongue, eyes, ears, and skin.
- Each living thing breathes:— Every living thing needs air to breathe. Man and Animals take oxygen and leave carbon dioxide. Even, Plants breathe too. But non-living things do not breathe.
- All Living things can reproduce:—Living things can reproduce their own kinds. It is called reproduction.
- All Living things die:— Really all living things have a period to survive. They cannot survive forever. On the other hand, non-living things do not die.
